The murder of well-known figures, Baba Siddique and Abhishek Ghosalkar, shocked the city in 2024

Uddhav Thackeray-led  Shiv Sena leader Abhishek Ghosalkar, 41, the son of former MLA Vinod Ghosalkar, was shot dead in Borivli in suburban Mumbai on February 8 this year during a social media live, allegedly by his old political rival Mauris Noronha, 47, who later died by suicide

Both Baba Siddique and his son Zeeshan were targets. The shooters assassinated Baba Siddique who was a police protectee. Zeeshan had left the office just minutes before the attack otherwise the assailants would have shot him as well

Amarendra Mishra, the bodyguard of Mauris Noronha was arrested by the police in connection with Ghosalkar's murder. The police had stated that Mishra's gun was allegedly used in the crime. The incident had sent shock waves in Maharashtra politics and prominent Shiv Sena (UBT) leaders including party chief Uddhav Thackeray had attended Ghosalkar's funeral

Anmol Bishnoi is the brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and is wanted accused in the Baba Siddique murder case

The firing has took place outside 58-year-old Khan's house at the Galaxy Apartment in Bandra in the early hours of April 14 

Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister, was shot dead on October 12 by three assailants outside his then MLA son Zeeshan Siddique's office building in Bandra East
