17 Pakistanis living in Mumbai identified, issued exit permits: Police

Cops have picked out 270 Pakistani nationals living in Mumbai; The deadline for exiting India for those holding SAARC visas was April 26

Pakistani nationals cross the Attari-Wagah border checkpost in a bus

Mumbai police said they have given exit permits to 17 Pakistani nationals living in the city to leave India in accordance with the central government’s directives that revoked visas for Pakistani nationals, effective April 27.

The central government had earlier issued a ‘leave India’ notice for the Pakistani nationals in the wake of the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam on April 22, in which 26 people were killed.  The deadline for exiting India for those holding SAARC visas was April 26. For those carrying medical visas, the deadline was April 29. The deadline for 12 other categories of visas was April 27.
