<p>Thane district on Wednesday reported as many as 28 new Covid-19 cases. The new cases took the infection tally to 1,96,869, according to the <strong><a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/14-new-covid-19-cases-reported-in-thane-active-tally-at-134-23249711" rel="nofollow">Thane </a></strong>Municipal Corporation (TMC).</p>
<p>According to a bulletin issued by the TMC on October 12, no Covid-19 related death was reported on Wednesday. The Covid-19 fatality toll in Thane now stands at 2,162.</p>

<p>With the addition of the latest cases, Thane currently has 134 active coronavirus cases.</p>
<p>10 Covid-19 patients recovered on October 14, taking the total number of recoveries since the beginning in the city to 1,94,550. The recovery rate in the TMC area is 98.82 per cent.</p><p>
