As many as 50,000 polling staff is currently being trained in city for poll duty as Mumbai has been preparing to the upcoming BMC Election 2026, officials said on Monday.
An official statement said that the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has started the first phase of training for presiding officers and polling officers appointed for the BMC elections, scheduled to be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026.
