BMC Election 2026: 'RPI chief Ramdas Athawale not upset, remains with Mahayuti'

Amid discontent over seat-sharing within the Mahayuti ahead of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections, BJP MLC Pravin Darekar on Tuesday said Republican Party of India (RPI) chief Ramdas Athawale is “not upset” and remains with the alliance, reported news agency ANI. 

Speaking to reporters after meeting Athawale, Darekar said the RPI leader’s role in the government and the respect due to him would be ensured in a “dignified manner”.
