Early leads from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) election counting indicate a tight contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)–Shiv Sena Mahayuti alliance and other parties. 

Preliminary postal ballot data show the alliance leading in around 52 wards, though official figures from the State Election Commission (SEC) and BMC are still awaited.
