Mumbai civic body polls: 2,844 nomination papers distributed, two filed on Day 2
According to the Maharashtra State Election Commission, the nomination filing period runs from December 23 to December 30, 2025, between 11 am and 5 pm every day. Distribution will not take place on Thursday due to the Christmas public holiday

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has distributed a total of 2,844 nomination papers for the 2026 civic polls as on Wednesday. On the second day of distribution, two nomination papers were filed.
The nomination process began on Tuesday across 23 returning officer (RO) offices when 4,165 nomination papers were distributed, but no papers were filed on the first day.
