Residents of Mulund’s ward 104 have contested Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) voter list for the upcoming polls, citing errors in the names listed. According to the residents of Lok Everest Complex, located on JSD Road  in Mulund West, the names of 614 residents have been wrongly listed as residents of BEST Staff Quarters, located on LBS Marg, in the adjoining ward, 103.

Residents claim that the neighbours living on the same floor of the same building have their names listed in two separate wards — 103 and 104. Following the complaints, social worker and first-time independent candidate Sameer Patil (ward 104) raised the issue with the state election commission and civic administrative ward office (T ward).
