Soon after the recently concluded Maharashtra civic polls, former Mumbai Congress chief and party legislator Bhai Jagtap on Saturday was served a show-cause notice by the All India Congress Committee (AICC).
The show-cause notice to the senior Congress leader was served after he publicly criticised Mumbai Congress President and Lok Sabha MP Varsha Gaikwad. Bhai Jagtap, while publicly slamming Varsha Gaikwad, also demanded her resignation over the party’s performance in the BMC 2026 elections.
