Borivli BJP MLA Sanjay Upadhyay met with the Mumbai Commissioner of Police (CP), Deven Bharti, seeking action on local issues, claiming that the police and the BMC have failed to act on his concerns.
Upadhyay had last week met senior police officers, demanding stern action against the rising number of people drinking liquor in public places, the hawker menace, illegal hookah parlours, and rash driving, especially by share auto-rickshaws. Upadhyay said he was frustrated with the local police for not taking sufficient measures despite repeated demands.
