A property dispute dating back more than three decades has resurfaced, leading to the registration of a cheating case against a builder firm at Mulund police station. The case concerns a payment of Rs 2.89 lakh made in 1993 for a flat in a proposed housing project on Ghodbunder Road, Thane, which was never completed.
According to the police, the flat was booked in January 1993 through a bank transaction for a flat on the 12th floor of the planned complex. Despite repeated assurances, the project was never delivered, nor was the amount refunded.
