Central Railway undertakes mega block on June 9; check details here

The Mumbai Division of Central Railway, while sharing Mumbai local train updates, on Sunday, on the mainline and trans-harbour network. The block between CSMT Mumbai and Vidyavihar begins from from 11.30 am to 3.00 pm.

The Mumbai Division of Central Railway, while sharing Mumbai local train updates, on Sunday, said it will operate a mega block on its suburban sections to carry out various engineering and maintenance works. The block will be on the mainline and trans-harbour network, the Central Railway (CR) said in a statement.


The block on the up and down slow line between CSMT Mumbai and Vidyavihar begins from from 11.30 am to 3.00 pm.


Down slow services leaving CSMT Mumbai from 11.04 am to 2.46 pm will be diverted on down fast line between CSMT Mumbai and Vidyavihar stations and will halt at Byculla, Parel, Dadar, Matunga, Sion and Kurla stations and further diverted on down slow line at Vidyavihar station.


Up slow services leaving Ghatkopar from 11.14 am to 2.48 pm will be diverted on Up fast line between Vidyavihar and CSMT Mumbai stations and will halt at Kurla, Sion, Matunga, Dadar, Parel and Byculla stations.

According to the statement release by the Central railways, the last local before the block on the down slow line will be Kalyan local leaving CSMT Mumbai at 10.48 am.

The first local after the block will be Titwala local leaving CSMT Mumbai at 3.09 pm, the statement said.

While the last local before the block on the Up slow line to CSMT Mumbai will be the Asangaon local leaving Kalyan at 9.55 am, the first local after the block for CSMT Mumbai will be Titwala local leaving Kalyan at 2.08 pm.

The CR in its update about local trains said, the mega block from CSMT to Chunabhatti or the Bandra Down Harbour line will start from 11.40 am and continue till 4.40 pm. Meanwhile, the megablock from Chunabhatti or Bandra to CSMT Up Harbour line starts from 11.10 am and will go on till 4.10 pm

Down Harbour line services leaving CSMT / Wadala Road for Vashi / Belapur / Panvel from 11.16 am to 4.47 pm and CSMT to Bandra / Goregaon from 10.48 am to 4.43 pm will remain cancelled.

Up harbour line services leaving Panvel / Belapur / Vashi for CSMT from 9.53 am to 3.20 pm and up harbour line services leaving Goregaon / Bandra for CSMT from 10.45 am to 5.13 pm will remain cancelled.

On the Down Harbour line, the last local before the block for Panvel will depart from CSMT at 11.04 am. The last local before the block for Goregaon will depart from CSMT at 10.22 am, while the first local after the block for Panvel will depart from CSMT at 04.51 pm. The first local after the block for Bandra will depart from CSMT at 04.56 pm, the statement from Central Railways read.


On the other hand, on the Up Harbour line, the last local before the block for CSMT will depart from Panvel at 09.40 am. The last local before the block for CSMT will depart from Bandra at 10.20 am. The first local after the block for CSMT will depart from Panvel at 03.28 pm and the first local after the block to CSMT will depart from Goregaon at 04.58 pm.

Special services will run between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No. 8) during the block period, according to the statement.

The Central Railway further said, harbour line passengers are allowed to travel via main line and Western Railway from 10 am to 6 pm during the block period.
