A 65-year-old businessman, Pradeep Sanat Shah, is overjoyed after getting back his late father’s heritage Rolex watch, which had been stolen from his Colaba home in June this year. The luxury timepiece — originally gifted by his father to his daughter-in-law Rupali Shah shortly before his death in 2023 — was recovered by the Colaba police and recently handed back to the family with help from advocate Sunil Pandey.

Shah, who runs a printing machine manufacturing business, said his 91-year-old father, Sanat Shah, had purchased the Rolex in 1995 for Rs 15 lakh. “My father wore this watch every day to his office. Before he passed away, he gifted it to my wife, Rupali. She kept it safely in the locker as a memory of him,” Shah told mid-day.
