Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has warned all contractors to complete projects like the Metro, housing redevelopment, BDD Chawl and other infrastructure works within a 2.5- 3-year timeframe. “In today’s age of technology, no projects should take five to six years. All projects must be completed within 2.5-3 years of time,” Fadnavis said as he chaired a review meeting of the ‘Infrastructure War Room’ in Mumbai on Monday.
According to those close to the CM, Fadnavis expressed displeasure with slow progress of some ongoing projects. “The CM asked government officials and contractors about problems for completing projects within the expected time span,” a close aide of the chief minister said.
