The decision, confirmed by senior leader Ramesh Chennithala, comes as a mark of respect following the untimely demise of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

Speaking to PTI, Chennithala, who serves as the AICC general secretary in-charge of Maharashtra, stated that the party has instructed its state unit to withdraw its candidate from the electoral race. The Baramati bypoll was necessitated after the tragic death of Ajit Pawar earlier this year, an event that has deeply impacted the state’s political landscape.
