Fire breaks out at South Mumbai showroom, no injuries reported

A Level-II fire erupted at a garments showroom on Pedder Road in South Mumbai on Monday morning. Eight fire engines were rushed to the spot, and all residents, including pets, were safely rescued

A level-II fire broke out early on Monday morning at a garments showroom located on the ground floor of a six-storey residential building in the Pedder Road area of South Mumbai. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the blaze, which erupted at approximately 6:30 am, originated in Shop Nos. 2 and 3 of the Libbas showroom, situated in the Shukhshanti Building near Jaslok Hospital and Nana Chowk. According to civic officials, the fire was confined to the electric wiring, installations, and stock of garments within the showroom premises. Thick smoke had logged the entire structure, prompting a full-scale emergency response.
