Ganesh Visarjan 2023: Amid the beating of drums and chants of 'Ganpati Bappa Morya', various Ganesh mandals and Lord Ganesh devotees in Mumbai on Thursday started processions to immerse the idols of the deity, marking the culmination of the 10-day festival, according to the PTI.
A Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official said, by 6pm, a total of 7,950 idols had been immersed, comprising 7,513 household ones, 329 'sarvajanik' or public idols and 108 of goddess Gauri.
