A leopard that had got entangled in fencing wire near Mulshi in Pune district was safely rescued on Sunday following a swift, coordinated operation by the Pune Forest Department and RESQ Charitable Trust.

The forest department received information about the incident at around 11.00 am and immediately alerted RESQ. Responding within minutes, the RESQ team mobilised from the Wildlife Transit Treatment Centre (WTTC) at Bavdhan, Pune, and reached the site promptly.
