On Thursday, police recovered Rs 47 lakhs in cash inside a car while conducting a regular inspection in Mulund`s Vaishali Nagar area. Following the discovery, officials swiftly alerted the Income Tax Department and launched an inquiry stated an ANI report. 

According to a report, as part of their duties during the election period, a Static Surveillance Team (SST) consisting of police officers and a magistrate conducted the check. Their responsibilities include tracking the transportation of illegal spirits, bribes, huge sums of money, weapons and ammunition, and antisocial elements.
