Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024: BJP declines support to NCP's Nawab Malik

Despite the refusal to support Nawab Malik, BJP leader expressed no objections to his daughter, Sana Malik, who is contesting from the Anushakti Nagar assembly seat as an NCP candidate. Shelar indicated that if there are no allegations against a candidate, they should be treated equally within the coalition

Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Mumbai chief Ashish Shelar announced that the party will not campaign for Nawab Malik, the Nationalist Congress Party's (Ajit Pawar) candidate from Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar Assembly seat, reported news agency ANI.

This decision underlines the BJP's longstanding position regarding Malik's alleged connections to Dawood Ibrahim.
