Maharashtra: Centre failed to stop pollution in many cities, says NCP

NCP spokesperson Clyde Crasto said the Centre's aim of a 40 per cent reduction in particulate matter by 2026 'sounds good only on paper'

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Wednesday alleged the BJP-led Centre has failed to check pollution in many cities in the country despite spending Rs 6,897 crore on its National Clean Air Programme.

NCP spokesperson Clyde Crasto said the Centre's aim of a 40 per cent reduction in particulate matter by 2026 "sounds good only on paper".
