A 50-year-old firefighter was electrocuted to death while attempting to rescue a crow trapped in a high-tension power line in Bhiwandi town of Thane district in Maharashtra, a senior official said on Thursday, reported the PTI.
The deceased has been identified as Nitin Pashte, who had been serving with the Bhiwandi-Nizampur Municipal Corporation (BNMC) fire services for the past 18 years, the news agency reported.
