Maharashtra Health Minister Prakash Abitkar on Wednesday said that the state government, in collaboration with the public health department and Tata Memorial Hospital, is committed to achieving the goal of a “cancer-free Maharashtra”.

The minister visited Tata Memorial Hospital in Parel, Mumbai, where he reviewed various departments and sought details on modern cancer treatment methods. Tata Memorial Centre’s All-India Director Dr Sudeep Gupta, Hospital Director Dr CS Pramesh, Deputy Directors Shrikande and Siddhnath Laskar, and Hospital Superintendent Dr Vineet Samant were present for the event.
