Govt’s 100-day report cards reveal stark divide between key ministries

While departments under CM Devendra Fadnavis excel, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde’s urban, housing and PWD portfolios rank 25th, 46th, and 32nd in official evaluations

Assessment of 100 days` work done by each Maharashtra government department has once again turned the stats into an opportunity to draw a parallel between Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Of the total 48 departments evaluated for their task performance based on the 100-day goal set by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, citizen-related key departments like home department have achieved 100 per cent task completion and secured second position. Whereas, other important portfolios like urban development and the housing department and public works department (PWD) have ranked 25th, 46th and 32nd, respectively.
