Marathi mandatory for all school boards in Maharashtra; says Dada Bhuse

School education minister Dada Bhuse has reiterated that Marathi will be compulsory across all education boards in Maharashtra, including CBSE, ICSE, Cambridge Assessment International Education and International Baccalaureate, warning of action against institutions that fail to comply

School education minister Dada Bhuse on Friday asserted that all school boards in Maharashtra will be required to conduct Marathi examinations and appoint teachers to teach the local language as a subject. He reiterated that Marathi is compulsory for all school boards (IG, Cambridge, ICSE, and CBSE) and action will be taken against those flouting the norms.
