The Shiv Sena UBT camp upped its attack on Minister of State for Home Yogesh Kadam as the latter’s family returned the dance bar license. The Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena MLA from the Dapoli Assembly constituency of Ratnagiri district in the coastal Konkan region is facing flak over a dance bar in Kandivli.
On Friday, Sena UBT leader Anil Parab reiterated that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis should take action and ask Yogesh Kadam to resign from the cabinet. “If they (Kadam) had done nothing wrong, what was the need to return the license? Returning a license does not absolve anyone of the crime,” Parab said while speaking to reporters in Mumbai.
In the past, the premises has been raided four times with cases registered for running a dance bar. “The bar was raided thrice in 2023. It was raided again in 2025. There has been repeated violation of the law (indulging in activities banned in Maharashtra) by a hotel owned by the minister’s family. How can one who is responsible for maintaining law and order be connected to anything that is involved in illegal activity?” Parab questioned.
