In its drive to digitise teacher records, the Maharashtra education department has once again extended the deadline for uploading crucial teacher appointment documents to the Shalarth system from September 15 to 20. Over the past few weeks, several schools across Mumbai have been extensively compiling and providing all the teacher appointment documents to the Shalarth Pay System 2.0.

This comes months after the Shalarth ID scandal was first uncovered in Nagpur, where authorities found forged appointment approvals, fake Shalarth identification documents, and bogus certificates, culminating in the arrest of education department officials.
