27 students from across state have bested their peers in their specific groupings this year

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra on Thursday evening declared the results of the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (CET) 2022 for the physics, chemistry and mathematics (PCM) and physics, chemistry and biology (PCB) groups.

A total of 27 students from across the state have scored 100 percentile in their specific groupings this year.
In the PCM group, 13 students have scored 100 percentile of which seven–Hardik Gohil, Jay Haresh Mehta, Ekansh Ravi Shankar, Kamakshi Ramamurthy, Kher Manan Sonali, Manvi Bengani and Velaskar Tanzeel Mansoorali–are from Mumbai. Meanwhile, 14 candidates earned the perfect score in the PCB group, four of whom–Anushka Kulkarni, Siddharth Shyam Nair, Aarya Vinay Sahani and Nishad Sanjay Shirke–are from the city.
MHT-CET is a state-wide examination for admission to undergraduate engineering, agriculture, and pharmacy programmes.
This year, a total of 6,05,944 (2,82,070 in PCM and 3,23,874 in PCB) candidates registered for the MHT-CET exam, which is much higher than last year’s number of registrations: 5,17,132. Out of the total number of candidates, 4,67,379 appeared for the exams this year or 2,31,264 and 2,36,115 in PCM the PCB groups respectively.

Now that the MHT-CET 2022 result has been declared, the authorities will conduct online MHT-CET counselling for those who qualify. Candidates have to participate in the process to be considered for admission based on the MHT-CET 2022 results.
This year's tests for the PCM and PCB groups were held from August 5 to August 11 and August 12 to August 20 respectively. The tests were administered online using computer-based testing.
Multiple students were unable to appear for the exams, either because of technical difficulties at testing centres or excessive rain and flooding in their area, necessitating the scheduling of a re-examination. In light of this, the State Common Entrance Test Cell in Maharashtra held a re-examination for the affected students on August 28. Candidates were informed that if they registered for the re-examination, their second score would be taken into consideration, regardless of which was higher.
