Located in the heart of the island city, the F South ward comprises the areas of Parel, parts of Lalbaug, Kalachowkie, Naigaon in Dadar East, Cotton Green, and Sewri.
Historically, this ward comprises areas that formed Mumbai’s textile mills heartland. Since 2000, the area has transformed into a major commercial and business district. It is now characterised by rapid residential redevelopment and skyscraper buildings that are changing not only the skyline of the area, but also its demography due to the spurt in luxury high-rise buildings and commercial complexes.
