Former state tourism minister Aditya Thackeray has penned a letter to Tourism Minister Girish Mahajan, urging the lifting of the stay order on the hilltop pathway project at Malabar Hill. In this letter, composed on Monday, Thackeray asserts that the project embodies eco-friendliness.

“The inception of the project dates back to 2021, and it stands as both ecologically conscious and beneficial for the citizens,” stated Thackeray, Shiv Sena UBT MLA. He criticised the suspension of the Siri Road Eco-Pathway project, labelling it a misguided decision. A need exists for an exemplary eco-friendly pathway catering to citizens engaged in morning walks. Thus, the existing stay order needs to be cancelled, Thackeray highlighted in the letter. Nevertheless, speculation among the populace is rife, questioning whether the government plans to relinquish the land in question to a builder who is close to them after they cancel the project.
