Mumbai: BMC elects chairpersons for five ward committees for 2026–27 term

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation concluded elections for chairpersons of five ward committees for the 2026–27 term. Candidates from Bharatiya Janata Party, Shiv Sena and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen secured key posts, with three candidates elected unopposed

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday concluded elections for the posts of five Ward Committee chairpersons for the 2026–2027 term.
As per the officials, the elections were held for the L, M East, M West, N, and S and T ward committees out of the civic body’s total of 17 ward committees.
