After concerns were raised over the raised road level along the stretch between the ISKCON temple and Juhu Church during ongoing road works, the BMC has begun corrective measures to address residents’ fears of worsening waterlogging.

Last week, mid-day had highlighted how the newly laid road surface had been elevated significantly. “The increased road height compared to the entrances of nearby buildings could have resulted in water flowing into residential compounds and commercial establishments, worsening the already-existing problem of waterlogging that we have been facing every monsoon,” said Paul Creado, a resident.
