Bombay HC rejects plea against demolition of buildings at Air India Colony

The Bombay High Court has rejected a plea opposing the demolition of 20 unoccupied structures at Air India Colony near Mumbai airport in the Kalina area

The Bombay High Court has rejected a plea opposing the demolition of 20 unoccupied structures at Air India Colony near Mumbai airport in the Kalina area. The court also declined to maintain the status quo for two weeks while a related matter is scheduled to be heard by the Supreme Court on February 13, according to newswire PTI.

The plea was filed by the Air India Staff Colony Association (AISCA) claiming that the Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) had illegally initiated the razing of vacant buildings at the colony.
