A 31-year-old businessman from Wadala sustained injuries and lost his gold chain in a road rage incident near Makkawadi Junction at Antop Hill on Thursday night. The accused, identified as Manoj Durai Devendra, 23, allegedly attacked the complainant with a motorcycle key, a paver block, and a brick, and also issued death threats during the altercation.

According to the complaint filed by Prashant Davre, a resident of Pratiksha Nagar, Sion, he was returning home from Sardar Nagar when the incident occurred around 8.30 pm. While Davre was passing via Makkawadi Junction, a man riding a motorcycle without a number plate suddenly cut him off. Davre said he shouted at the rider to drive carefully, but the man stopped his bike, started abusing him, and picked a fight. “When I asked him not to abuse me, he said, ‘Tu kaun hai re, bada bhai hai kya? Jisko bulana hai bula, main kisi se nahi darta, main Challa ka bhanja hai’, and then grabbed my collar and began assaulting me,” Davre stated.
