A fire broke out in the early hours of Monday at the Thomas Cook office located in the Corporate Park Building on Sion-Trombay Road, Chembur East. Officials from the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) said that the incident was first reported at around 1:38 am.
According to the MFB, the blaze was classified as a Level II (major) fire. It originated on the second floor of the ground-plus-two-storey glass facade building and was confined to the office area spanning approximately 2,000 sq. ft. The fire affected electric wiring, installations, office furniture, records, UPS battery backup systems, false ceilings, wooden doors, and glass frames.
