Mumbai: Local train passenger injured in stone pelting near Reay Road station

A 28-year-old woman passenger sustained a head injury after being struck by a stone during a Mumbai local train journey near Reay Road station. The victim, Shivani from Parel, was rushed to KEM Hospital. GRP and railway officials have launched an investigation into the stone-pelting incident.

In an unexpected incident, a 28-year-old woman passenger sustained a head injury after being struck by a stone while travelling in a local train. According to reports, the woman was hit by a stone hurled at her near Reay Road station on Thursday evening. The incident took place around 7:15 pm when train GO 65 was en route, and the passenger was standing at the door of the ladies’ coach on the guard side.

Officials identified the injured woman as Shivani, a resident of Parel Village. She was suddenly hit by a stone as the train crossed Reay Road. Shivani was assisted at Cotton Green station, where she received immediate first aid. After arriving at Cotton Green, she was soon shifted to KEM Hospital by the Government Railway Police (GRP) for further medical treatment.
