WR adds more AC locals on Mumbai suburban network; 133 operate on weekdays

The recent additions include 12 new AC local services introduced from February 19, which took the weekday tally from 121 to the current 133. This follows 12 AC services added in January, reflecting Western Railway’s continuous response to growing commuter demand for AC travel

Western Railway has stepped up efforts to make local train travel more comfortable by significantly increasing the number of air-conditioned (AC) local train services on the Mumbai suburban network.
In a press release released on Friday, the Western Railway said that it is now operating 133 AC local services on weekdays while on weekends, the number stands at 106 AC services.
