Mumbai on Monday reported 179 new Covid-19 cases, taking its tally of infections to 11,56,606, including 19,747 deaths. With the addition of the new cases the tally of active cases in Mumbai has surged to 1079.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra has reported 248 new cases of coronavirus and a single casualty that raised the tally of infections to 81,45,590, which includes 1,48,445 fatalities, an official from the state health department said.
