Mumbai: Police look for biker who bashed motorists with helmet

The Santacruz police have registered an FIR against the assailant, whom they are searching for with the help of his bike’s registration number. An unidentified biker bludgeoned a motorist with his helmet and assaulted his woman friend at a traffic signal in Santacruz West on Friday night. At the time of the incident, the complainant, Ajay Nakra, 59, a financial consultant and resident of Juhu Tara Road in Santacruz West, was returning from Churchgate after dining with a woman friend and her family, according to the police.

The Santacruz police have registered an FIR against the assailant, whom they are searching for with the help of his bike’s registration number. A police officer said, “Nakra was in his car with his friend and her family at the Prem Narayan Chowk signal, and the accused was also waiting beside this vehicle. Nakra’s signal had turned green, but the biker wanted to take a left turn, and his signal had not yet turned green.”
