IMD issues 'yellow alert' till May 24, predicts rains and thunderstorm

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in its its weather bulletin on Wednesday issued a `yellow alert` for Mumbai till May 24, predicting thunderstorm and rains.

In a district forecast, the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in Mumbai stated that `thunderstorm accompanied with lightning, heavy rainfall and gusty winds (50-60 kmph) at isolated places were very likely` till May 24.
