Active cases stood at just 1,415 on Monday, a sharp drop from 1.17 lakh cases reported a month ago

Mumbai has not only reported a dip in daily infections, but also registered lowest active COVID-19 count on Monday since cases started rising due to the pandemic in April 2020. On Monday, active cases stood at just 1,415, a sharp drop from 1.17 lakh a month ago. On April 14, 2020, the figure was at 1,478.
The pandemic also took a number of lives, bringing the toll from 111 on April 14, 2020, to 16,888 on Monday. However, after the three waves that hit the city severely, the indicators, including active case count, are finally looking up.
