Mumbai is set for a major mobility upgrade as the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has initiated the construction of the Elevated Eastern Freeway Extension.
In a post on X, the MMRDA has said that a 13.9 km, fully elevated six-lane high-speed corridor will slash travel time between South Mumbai and Thane to just 25–30 minutes.
