<a href="https://www.mid-day.com/amp/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-weather-update-clear-skies-bring-brief-relief-imd-issues-yellow-alert-for-hot-humid-conditions-23619733" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Mumbai</a> was on Sunday likely to experience a warm and sunny day with mainly clear skies &nbsp;with a mostly dry weather, according to the weather department bulletin on March 8 morning.
A <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-mercury-touches-40-degrees-but-mumbai-may-finally-get-a-break-23620234" rel="nofollow">yellow alert was issued for some parts of Maharashtra </a>including Akola, Amravati and Wardha district, predicting hot and humid conditions at isolated places on Sunday.
A similar yellow alert has been issued for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar and Raigad for Monday, March 9.
"Hot and humid conditions in isolated pockets were likely," the alert stated.
The Regional Met Centre (RMC) in Mumbai, the minimum temperature in the city was on Sunday morning recorded at 22.2 degrees Celsius at the Santacruz observatory and at Colaba the minimum temperature was recorded at 24 degrees Celsius.
It said that the maximum temperature was likely to hover between 31.9 and 33&nbsp;degrees Celsius on March 8.
According to the RMC, the sun rose at 06:53 am and is expected to set at 18:46 pm.
The <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-weather-updates-santacruz-records-34-6-degrees-celsius-as-city-reels-under-rising-temperatures-23619679" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">weather</a> department have indicated stable atmospheric conditions, with no major changes expected during this period.
Residents can expect a warm and largely sunny day, typical of early March conditions in the city.
<h2>AQI in Mumbai</h2>
According to the Central Pollution Control Board's (CPCB) Sameer app, Mumbai&rsquo;s Air Quality Index (AQI) was on Sunday morning recorded 'Satisfactory' at 10:05 am and stood at 78.
A health impact message stated, "The air quality is satisfactory with minor breathing discomfort to sensitive people."

Meanwhile, the air quality was recorded as 'Moderate' in <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/maharashtra-gunmen-fire-at-mumbra-influencer-baba-khans-residence-probe-launched-23619784" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Thane</a> which reported an AQI at 103 on Tuesday morning. In Kalyan AQI was recorded at 102, and in Navi Mumbai at 100.

Mumbai is currently experiencing warm weather, with temperatures ranging between 25 degrees Celsius in the mornings and rising up to 36 degrees Celsius during the day.
The city and surrounding suburbs are seeing mainly clear skies, light north-easterly winds, and moderate humidity levels.
