Thunderstorm, light rain in parts of Maharashtra in next 4-5 hours: IMD

In a nowcast warning issued by the IMD Mumbai, the weather department said that thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and light spells of rain with gusty winds reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Pune and Beed. A similar warning was issued for Ahilyanagar, Jalna and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday predicted thunderstorm along with light spells of rain and gusty winds in some parts of Maharashtra in the next 4-5 hours.

In a nowcast warning issued at 3:15 pm on May 5, 2025, the IMD Mumbai said, "Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and light spells of rain with gusty winds reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Pune and Beed during next 3-4 hours."
