Western Dedicated Freight Corridor ready after JNPT–Vaitarna trial near Mumbai

The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) on Tuesday successfully conducted a trial run on the newly electrified double-line section between Jawaharlal Nehru Port Terminal (JNPT) and Vaitarna (New Saphale) in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, marking the completion of the entire Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC).
The trial run was conducted under the leadership of the DFCCIL Managing Director in the presence of senior officials.
