Following the blast in Delhi on Monday that put security agencies across the country on high alert, the Seawoods traffic police in Navi Mumbai have intensified their crackdown on abandoned vehicles parked in public areas.
Acting on several complaints from local residents, traffic officials on Tuesday carried out an inspection drive in Sector-2 (Ulwe), where a few cars and two-wheelers had been lying idle for days. The police verified vehicle documents, registration numbers, and ownership details, marking suspicious ones for further investigation.
