Flat buyers of Navi Mumbai project reach police station over delayed possession

Adhiraj Samyana and Capital City was launched as a luxury township with multiple 55-storey towers at Kharghar. Buyers were promised possession as early as 2017-18, but the construction has been stalled since 2019

Large number of angry homebuyers, who had invested their life savings in the Adhiraj Samyana and Capital City project at Navi Mumbai, gathered at Kharghar Police Station on Thursday to get a register a case filed against the developers for alleged fraud and cheating. However, they had to walk away disappointed after the police delayed the first information report (FIR), promising action only by November 4.

The buyers, many of whom have been waiting over a decade for their flats, said they are “mentally, emotionally, and financially exhausted” after years of false assurances from Adhiraj Developers.
