Navi Mumbai to get one of India’s largest radiation therapy centres

The 11-storey building, named the ‘ICICI Foundation Block for Radiation Oncology’, will span across 3.4 lakh square feet. Once operational, it is expected to provide radiation therapy to around 7,200 patients annually, delivering more than 2 lakh sessions

ICICI Bank, in collaboration with Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), has begun the construction of a cancer care facility at the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research & Education in Cancer (ACTREC) in Navi Mumbai. The project, funded through a Rs 625-crore corporate social responsibility (CSR) contribution from the bank, will house one of India’s largest radiation therapy centres.

The 11-storey building, named the ‘ICICI Foundation Block for Radiation Oncology’, will span across 3.4 lakh square feet. Once operational, it is expected to provide radiation therapy to around 7,200 patients annually, delivering more than 2 lakh sessions. The facility will also offer outpatient consultations and diagnostics to 25,000 new patients each year. The facility is likely to be completed by 2027.
