The body of Rohit Arya, who was shot dead by the Mumbai police after he held 17 people, including 16 minors, hostage in Powai, was first taken to SevenHills Hospital and later shifted to Hindu Hruday Samrat Balasaheb Thackrey (HBT) Trauma Care Hospital, Jogeshwari. As of Thursday night, his body remained at HBT Hospital.

Authorities said the body is likely to be moved to JJ Hospital either late Thursday night or by Friday morning for a postmortem examination. According to hospital officials, the postmortem will be conducted at JJ Hospital and video recorded to ensure full transparency. However, senior JJ Hospital officials told mid-day that they have not yet received formal communication regarding the transfer.
