BMC hits hard on faulty road work, suspends engineer and imposes Rs 75 lakh fine

Taking a strong action against faulty work in road concretisation project in Mumbai, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday said that it has suspended an engineer and imposed Rs 75 lakh as penalty.

The Mumbai civic body said that a sub-engineer has been suspended and fines worth Rs 75 lakh have been imposed after poor quality work was found in a road concretisation project in the H (West) ward of the BMC.
